While the application process can change from person to person according to his/her personal circumstances and country to country, the following is a common procedure and given as a guideline for students from India wanting to study abroad.

  • Personal counselling/information session

    Our experienced counselors @ storm will guide you with various study options based on your past qualifications, work experience, course eligibility and budgets. Our counselors will guide and help you take the right decision.

    If you have not taken the mandatory English test such as TOEFL (iBT), IELTS or PTE, we will help you to register for the test and book the nearest available date. We further explain details of entire expenses, university details, culture, lifestyle, visa requirements etc., and each student will be assessed for the eligibility of the student visa.

  • Application submission

    We apply for admission for the selected course with the University / Institute of your choice represented by us. Successful applications will received the Letter of Offer from the institute via Storm Consultants. This offer can be conditional or unconditional. The current processing / turnaround time for getting an offer letter may be between 2 to 6 weeks.

  • Payment of tution fee or deposit

    Student now is required to pay the First semester tuition fee (if you have any unconditional offer) or Deposit (if you have a conditional offer pending final results) and the compulsory Health Cover by Telegraphic transfer or by dollar bank Draft.

    Storm now will forward the draft / confirmation of TT along with acceptance of offer and request for receipt or confirmation of enrolment from the institution. Most institutes ask for extra documents such as financial statements, sponsor details and income certificates. The institute after verification of all details and after being satisfied they authorize the receipt or confirmation of enrollment which not only confirms your admission, but is also a receipt for fee paid. This procedure will take around 5-10 days time.

  • Medical examination

    Befor you lodge your visa , you need to undergo a medical examination by a panel doctor approved by the respective high commissions.

  • Visa application

    Students can collect all the forms and submit the required documents in our office. We may require many supporting and additional documents. We will verify the documents and once it is all good we will lodge the visa application. The processing time of the application can vary anytime between 4 to 12 weeks.

  • Visa grant

    If you have satisfied all the requirements then visa will be approved. The validity of the visa will depend on the course for which you have been accepted.

    Please Note: For Australia the system does not require you have a visa label in your passport to confirm your immigration status. Your visa status is held electronically and can be accessed anytime.

    To access your visa status and condition, you have to log on the Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO) system at http://www.immi.gov.au/e_visa/vevo.htm. You will need your Transaction Reference Number (TRN) to access your information on the system. Your TRN number is printed on your Visa Grant Notification Letter. You may leave for Australia as soon as student visa is granted.

  • Pr-departure briefing

    We will help you prepare for departure abroad. At our pre-departure briefing, you will receive valuable information about living in abroad, life as a student at your institution, tips on adapting to the culture, and dealing with homesickness. You will also have the opportunity to network with other students, including alumni, current students and future classmates. All students will be oriented with detailed aspects of life and studies abroad

  • Travel & accomodation

    Now you can buy your tickets and be prepared with necessary foreign exchange. Our services partners will advice you on ticketing, foreign exchange, travel insurance, opening bank account and international calling cards.

    Once you provide your flight details to our office, we will assist you with information on various available on-campus and off-campus accommodations, airport pick up etc.
